• media received from airdrop is dated by received date, not created date
• this is likely a conscious choice, because a choice had to be made - but it makes sense that the other option is offered too

• apple offers the option to backdate multiple photos by selecting dates

Design

• should auto-identify groups of photos that had been airdropped
• (all same creation date, all similar locations)

• could match to destinations based on locations and/or pixels to suggest destinations

Cons

• nice UI could be a lot of work

• alternatives exist

• seems like something too nitpicky for people to come looking for it, so it might have to be promoted

Alternatives

• people can use albums instead of airdropping each other, then sorting by date works
